Ruby Christine (Polley) Arthurs

Mrs. Ruby Christine Arthurs, Age 86, passed away Thursday May 11, 2023 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky. Ruby was born on July 11, 1936 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Elizabeth Manley Polley.

Ruby was a member of the Christian Baptist Church in Vanceburg, Kentucky for over 60 years. She loved to go to church and liked to work. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her children Frankie Dale (Kristi) Arthurs of Oak Ridge, Kentucky, Barbara Arthurs of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Beverly (Darren) Stanfield of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Rex (Tracy) Arthurs of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Her Grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Montieth, Jeremy (Katie) Cooper, Cory Stanfield, Madison Arthurs, Colten Arthurs, Lindsey (Ryan) Woods, Eric (Cayeann) Cowan, Sarah (Kenny) Stamper, Hannah Stanfield, and Dalton Stanfield.

12- Great Grandchildren

Three Sisters- Garneda (Bob) Chinn, Mildred Simpson, and Doris Johnson.

Sister In-Law Ravenell Polley. Brother In-Law Roy Arthurs and numerous nieces and nephews who will mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death beside her parents is her husband William Franklin “Frank” Arthurs. Two sisters Louella Butler and Oleta Stone. Three brothers Herb Polley, Johnny Polley, and Raymond Polley.

Services will be held Monday May 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gaydos Funeral Home at 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Ky 41179, with Pastor Roger Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedonia Cemetery in Mason County, Ky.

Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. till the time of services on Monday May 15, 2023.

Pallbearers for Ruby Arthurs will be Frankie Arthurs, Rex Arthurs, Jeremy Cooper, Cory Stanfield, Andrew Montieth, and Paul Bruce Swearingen. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
