Ms. Ruby S. Kegley, Age 89, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday September 2nd, 2020 at the Vanceburg rehabilitation & Health Care Center after an extended illness. Ruby was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky August 15, 1931 to the late Clarence F. “Joe” and Wilda Miracle Bush.
In her earlier years she worked as a cook for the old Kinniconick School. She retired from U.S. Shoe Corporation and Williams Brothers in Portsmouth, Ohio with 30 plus years of service. Member of the Kinniconick Homemakers and Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department. Ruby was a member of the Union Baptist Church.
Left to cherish Ruby’s legacy are Five daughters- Phyllis Sue (Sonny Hill) Carter of Cincinnati, Ohio; Naomi Kinsel (Jeff Wadsworth) of Firebrick, Ky., Glenda (Eddie) Gayheart of Garrison, Ky., Rhonda (Gary) Laney of Black Oak, Ky., and Arlene (Eli) Allen of West Portsmouth, Ohio.
One Son- Mark (Barbara) Kegley of Lewis County, Ky.
Daughter-in-law- Debbie Kegley of Tollesboro, Ky.
Brother- Ralph Bush of Canadian Lake, Michigan, Sister- Faye Mulloy of Mt. Orab, Ohio.
15-grandhildren and 23-great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn her passing.
Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband- Glen W. Kegley January 12, 2020, Son- David Kegley, Granddaughter- Amber Kegley.
Visitation will be Saturday September 5, 2020 from 5-8 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179
Funeral Service will be Sunday September 6, 2020 at 11:00 am with Brother Joe Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the McEldowney Cemetery Vanceburg, Ky.
