Tony McGinnis Obituary

Tony B. McGinnis, Age 56, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Friday December 16, 2022 in Garrison, Kentucky as a result of injuries sustained in an auto related accident.

Tony, was born in Portsmouth, Ohio October 26, 1966 to the late William ‘Bob’ and Phyllis Blair McGinnis. Tony worked construction all of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving Tony are two daughters- Sierra Osborne of Tennessee, and Emily McGinnis of Ohio.

Two sons- Gage McGinnis of Garrison, Kentucky and William McGinnis of Johnson City, Tennessee.

Brothers- Clifford (Jennifer) McGinnis and George (Ava) McGinnis both of Vanceburg, Kentucky, and Chuck McGinnis of Maysville, Kentucky.

Sisters- Florence Lawson of Ironton, Ohio and Leona Williams of Canton, Illinois.

Preceded in death beside his parents were his sisters- Elizabeth Cornett, Peggy Deboard, Jennie Pearl Workman, and Phebe Ann Workman.

Brothers- William McGinnis, Robert Workman, John Amon Workman, Robert McGinnis, and Rex ‘Butch’ Workman.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation or services at this time.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
