Virgie I (Harris) Ruark

Virgie I. Ruark, Age 72 of the Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home passed away Tuesday evening September 10, 2024 at the Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Virgie was born in Maysville, Kentucky February 14, 1952 to the late Elvie and Gladys Pressley Harris.

Virgie, attended the church of Concord.  She loved gardening and working with her flowers.  She also liked to take long walks to the river.  Virgie also worked for the Vanceburg Nursing home in her earlier years.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving Virgie are two sons- John L. and Donald Ruark of Maysville, Kentucky.

Several nieces and nephews also survive who will mourn her passing.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Harold J. Ruark Jr., and a son- Ronnie Ruark.

At the family’s request there will be no services at this time.  A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
