Virgie Jean Watson, Age 59, of Vanceburg, Ky. Passed away Saturday December 14, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center Lexington, Ky. Unexpectedly. Jean was born in Shelby, Ohio August 31, 1954 to Emogene Tackett Masters of Vanceburg, Ky. And the late Virgil Lewis Masters Sr.
Jean was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church and was a Teachers' Aid and Driving Trainer instructor along with being a School Bus Driver for the Lewis County Board of Education. Jean was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking as well as gardening around the home. Jean also obtained her Associates Degree from Maysville Community College.
Surviving is her husband of 37 years- Aaron Russell Watson of Vanceburg, Ky whom she married April 27, 1976 in Wallingford, Ky.
Her Mother- Emogene Tackett Masters- Vanceburg, Ky.
Three- sons- Johnnie Christopher (Jan) Watson- Wallingford, Ky.
Patrick Aaron Watson-Wallingford, Ky. And Joseph Clayton (Melissa) Watson of Wallingford, Ky.
Sister- Linda Sue Gallant- North Robinson, Ohio
Brother- Virgil Bub Masters Jr. of Russell, Ky.
Six grandchildren- Christina Marie Watson, Gary Bruce Watson, Dorothy Jean Watson, Daniel James Stewart, Christopher and Jessica Buckler. Also 2-great-grandchildren who will mourn her passing.
Friends may call from 6-9PM Tuesday at the Gaydos Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at NOON Wednesday at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Brother Arthur Moore officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will follow in the Esham Cemetery .
