Mr. Wilbur Vernon Pence, Age 86, of Portsmouth, Ohio formerly of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday October 4^th, 2018 at the Southern Ohio Hospice Center Portsmouth, Ohio.

Wilbur was born in Quincy, Kentucky December 25, 1931 to the late Kinard and Alice Redman Pence. Wilbur worked as a crane operator for the LTV Steel Mill in Michigan for 30 years. Also, worked for Licking Valley as a driver for 2 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vanceburg.

Wilbur was a United States Air Force veteran in which he served in the Korean Conflict.

 

Surviving Wilbur is a brother- Norman (Janice) Pence of Finley, Ohio.

Two nieces and two nephews along with several cousins who will also mourn his passing.

 

Preceded in death beside his parents were two sisters- Sandra Pence and Shirley in infancy. Two brothers- Jerry Pence and Ralph Lee Pence.

 

Visitation will be Monday October 8^th, 2018 from 9:00am until 11:00am at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179.

 

Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Ulrich officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park Wheelersburg, Ohio.

 

Pallbearers for Wilbur V. Pence will be Jack Prater, Tony Gaydos, Bill Tom Stone, Rob Kennard, and Danny Enix.
