Lorene E. Bryant, Age 83, of Greenfield, Indiana formerly of Emerson, Kentucky passed away Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield, Indiana.

 

Lorene was born in Emerson, Ky. September 2, 1932 to the late Stant and Beulah Howard Richmond. Lorene worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation here in Vanceburg and also for the Case Incorporated in Olive Hill, Ky. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Shirley, Indiana.

Lorene was an accomplished musician playing the guitar. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Lorene was involved in the Foster parent and grandparent program in Knightstown, Indiana.

 

Surviving are two daughters- Cathy Cooper of Union, Ky., and Tammy and her husband (Winston) Strunk of Greenfield, Indiana.

One son- Scotty and his wife (Annie) Estelle of Indianapolis, Indiana.

One brother- Dale and his wife (Imogene) Richmond of Emerson, Ky.

8-grandchildren and 10-great grandchildren also survive who will mourn her passing.

 

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Jack Bryant in 1990. 3-brothers- Rufus Richmond, Carlos Richmond, and Kermit Richmond. 5-sisters- Daisy (Bea) Pendlum, Kathryn Skidmore, Winona Pierce, Faye Back, and Audrey LaVallee. and a son-in-law Lanny Cooper

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Sunday October 11, 2015 at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179 and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Monday at the Gaydos Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan cemetery at Head of Grassy Lewis County, Ky.

I'm very sorry for your loss and pray that God will keep you in his strength and peace. Now Lorene is singing with the angels and probably playing the most exquisite Martin guitar ever made...learning new songs until she can sing them with you all someday.

Scotty we are sorry for your loss. We had our dear mothers for 65 years but that is not enough. The heavenly choir has added a great lady to their ranks. It will not be to long until we are all together again around His throne. Jerry C
