Billy Ray Brown Sr., Age 78, of Quincy, Ky. Passed away Sunday evening February 23, 2014 in Quincy at 8:20 pm after a brief illness. Billy was born in Clarksville, West Virginia March 29, 1935 to the late Logan & Minerva Riley Brown. In his earlier years Billy worked for the Camp Dix Wood Products and also worked in Ohio doing landscaping. He loved fishing and hunting in his free time and like attending auctions. Billy was a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country in the Korean War.

Preceded in death beside his parents was a daughter- Patricia Ann Brown, 1-brother- Arnold Brown, and three sisters- Darlene Plank, Ruth Adams, and Myrtle Perry.

Surviving is a daughter- Betty Y. King and her husband (William) of Morehead, Ky.

3-sons- Billy Ray Brown Jr. and his wife (Rosie) from Emerson, Ky.

Eddie Lee Brown- Zanesville, Ohio, and Teddy Michael Brown of Vanceburg, Ky.

One brother- Charles Brown of Cleveland, Ohio

Three grandchildren- Misti Brown, Jacob Brown, and Kaylee Brown.

Funeral services will be Wednesday February 26, 2014 @ 11:00am at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at the Clark Cemetery in Rowan County.

Military graveside rites will be accorded by the V.F.W. Post 5438 Monte Lewis Stamm.

Friends may call from 6-9pm Tuesday and from 8:00am until time of services Wednesday at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179.
